Who was Saint Nemesius of Alexandria?

Nemesius lived in Alexandria, Egypt, during the persecution of Emperor Decius. Saint Dionysius, bishop of Alexandria, wrote that he was first falsely accused of being a thief; when he was cleared of that charge, he was denounced as a Christian. Brought before the governor, he firmly confessed Christ and was tortured and burned to death along with common criminals. Dionysius noted that, like Christ, he died between thieves.
